Profile Die Design

The attached Power Point presentation demonstrates a new design technique for profile extrusion dies. Compuplast's 2D Profile die software is used to balance the die using the "Cross Flow Minimalization Technique. Rhino CAD software is used to assist in the design.

This design technique has reduced the number of re-cuts from typically three to one for simple dies. On complex dies the number of re-cuts has been reduced from typically ten to three.
