Design & visualize twin screw segment lines
Welcome to 'Sigma Line 6' software!
This software consists of four modules - Outline module , Lifeline module , Streamline module and the Inline module.
The OutLine module is used to design & visualize the configuration of a twin-screw extruder line. The pictorial representation of the Elements and Barrels should allow easy visualization and make OutLine useful not only in storing details of existing configura-tions but also to implement changes in the configuration.
The Lifeline module is used to maintain a detailed wear history of the elements on the shaft (position, type, material of construction and change in diameter) and the number of hours run with a particular product. This information will help evaluate when the element has to be replaced and help form models for predicting maintenance.
The Streamline module has features that will enable the user to implement Six - Sigma (DMAIC) methodologies by gathering and storing critical data in a structured and readily usable form. This involves customising the software by introducing specific input parameters that are vital to the process. The user then can rapidly analyse the relationship and carry out improvements.
The Inline module is meant for Design For Six - Sigma (DFSS). This will be introduced at a later stage.
