Holroyd is the world leader in the manufacture of the most comprehensive range of machines to produce profiles on helical screw components using both the MILLING and GRINDING process, ensuring production of first class quality components at competitive prices.

Machines are tailored to customers unique requirements dependant on processes, equipment, component sizes, volumes, batch sizes and accuracy required. These amongst other criteria are considered to determine the exact and appropriate specification.

Holroyd is also renowned for installing and operating high volume helical component manufacturing cells. Our dedicated manufacturing facility is the largest and most modern independent sub-contract producer of rotors in the world. Other helical forms, such as Pump Screws, are easily incorporated into our manufacturing programme and produced to the same exacting standards.

The next generation TG150E and TG350E Thread Grinding Machines from Holroyd are the result of more than a century's experience as world class machine tool designers and manufacturers.

Versatile and flexible, these machines are able to grind a range of helical forms, from one-off prototypes to high volume production - with fast and efficient changeover between jobs.

The Thread Grinder workhead incorporates the latest spindle design arranged with hydrostatic bearings for increased stiffness and higher accuracy than conventional plain bearings.

of helical forms including worm gears and pump screws.

Controlled by a new high resolution AC digital servo system through a high accuracy Holroyd dual lead worm and wheel, the final spindle positioning is measured by an optical encoder mounted directly on the spindle to give the best possible pitch accuracy.

New high powered profile management software ensures accurate profile grinding to microns. To match this software capability, Holroyd has developed a 4 axis CNC wheel profiling / dressing unit incorporating diamond rotary discs and, for ease of operation, dressing and profile programming is incorporated into the main CNC control unit giving complete compatibility between machine and profiling software / hardware.

For checking, customers can measure the ground rotor profile directly on the machine with the optional Renishaw 3-axis Scanning Probe.
