J.D.B. Dense Flow Inc. has Dense Phase Pneumatic Conveying experience dating back to 1976. Our experience is now being applied to designing and manufacturing some of the most cost effective, efficient, high quality Dense Phase Pneumatic Conveying Systems available today. J.D.B Dense Flow offers a system with low initial cost, low installation cost and low maintenance characteristics.
The Dense Flow System is primarily a high pressure, low velocity, Dense Phase Pump for conveying powdered or granular materials. The system can convey a wide variety of materials ranging from abrasive material such as Sand and Alumina, to corrosive materials like Sodium Chloride. It can also handle cohesive products like Iron Oxide. Friable materials such as Sulphur Coated Urea and Extruded Alumina, can be conveyed just as easily as non-abrasive products like P.V.C or Fire Extinguisher Powder.
The Dense Flow System simplifies complex conveying problems. By tailoring solutions to fit varying material handling needs J.D.B Dense Flow works hard to find the simplest most dependable solution for the conveying problem at hand. Why not let us simplify your complicated conveying problem?

Applications
Conveying and Batch Weighing
Standard Dense Flow conveying systems consist basically of a Pump Vessel or Transporter which fills with material from a storage silo or use bin and is conveyed through a pipeline in a dense mass using compressed air.
Railcar Unloading
Almost every installation for dry bulk materials begins with a system for unloading the product from the delivery vehicle, for example; a railcar or truck, and conveying it to a Bulk Storage Bin or tank.
Dust Disposal or Reclaim
The system uses standard plant air at 80 to 100 PSI. The small Pump Vessels under each Dust Collector utilize a low volume of air to discharge dust and deliver it to a single plant location where it can be pelletized or otherwise disposed of.
Volumetric Batch Conveying and Blending
Volumetric feeding is accurate, flexible, simple and low cost. Performance of the Volumetric Feeders can be visually inspected through a clear Plexiglas sleeve. Accurate variation of the measure is easily obtained by replacing the sleeve.
Component Parts
Dense Flow Bag Dump Unit
The Dense Flow Bag Dump Unit is used for manual bag breaking. The unit comes with an Integral Pulse-Jet Dust Collection System, which can include Hepa Filtering.

Dense Flow Compact Bin Vents
The Dense Flow Compact Bin Vent is used to separate clean air from dust laden air of the conveying system. It's Pulse Jet design allows for efficient cleaning of the filter cartridges. The Bin Vent is designed for installation into tight areas.
Dense Flow Pump Vessel
The Pump Vessel is the main component in the Dense Flow System. The Pump Vessel is available in various designs and sizes to convey a wide range of materials at almost any conveying rate and distance
Dense Flow Control Panel
The controls used in a Dense Flow Conveying System are easy to use yet offer superior control over the material and air to give high efficiency and low maintenance to the system.
Dense Flow Diverter Valve
The Dense Flow Diverter is used to divert material to one of a number of receiving points. Limit Switches, Solenoids and Actuators are included to provide virtually any degree of automation.
Dense Flow Elbow
The Dense Flow Elbow is used mainly when conveying abrasive materials.
Dense Flow Anti-Plug Booster
Dense Flow Anti-Plug Boosters are air controlled devices which can be used to prevent plugging of the conveying line, or as booster air to the conveying line.
Dense Alloy Pipe
Dense Alloy Pipe is used in abrasive applications. It is hardened to 600 BHN. Size are available from 2 1/2" - 12" dia. and lengths from 12 to 24 ft.
Dense Flow Couplings & Flange Adapters
Dense Flow Couplings & Flange Adapters are used to connect conveying pipe and elbows together.
Swing Pipe Diverter Valve
The Swing Pipe Diverter which is designed to divert material to one of a number of receiving points in a 260 degree rotation.
2-Way Automatic Diverter Valve
The 2-way Automatic Diverter Valve which is installed in a conveyor line to direct material in either of two directions; straight through or diverted 90 degrees, has a unique pocketing effect like our elbow, to reduce wear.
