1953 Spencer Chemicals began construction of a nylon plant.
1957 Beginning of nylon production.
1964 Compunding building was added to nylon manufacturing.
1972 Gulf Oil Company sells nylon facility to Custom Resins.
1977 Custom Resins sold to Bemis Corporation.
1994 Bemis sells Custom Resins to Polymeric Resources.
What is Nylene® ?
Nylene® is the trade name used by Custom Resins to describe its entire line of nylon materials. Nylene® grades are available for nearly all types of thermoplastic processing:

* extrusion
* blow molding
* rotomolding
* film extrusion and casting.
Nylene® nylon materials compromise
* complete line of Nylon 6 grades
* complete line of Nylon 6/6 grades
* Nylon 6/6, 6 alloys

Nylene® materials are available in industry standard grades and as specialty grades developed to customer requirements.
Injection molding grades of Nylene® are available as homopolymer; nucleated; glass, mineral, and glass/mineral filled; and in one of the broadest families of impact modified grades in the industry.
