Interplex Medical, founded in January of 2005, is a full service contract manufacturer of medical devices. The company provides product design and development services, prototyping, and manufacturing services to medical device OEMs.

Product development, design and prototyping activity is performed in a 7500 sq. ft. facility located in Milford, OH. The facility includes a class 100,000 clean room for device manufacturing, and is equipped with a model shop and a metrology and test lab to support product development activities.

Interplex Medical possesses extensive clinical experience, including human and animal clinical studies, excised tissue studies and the development of innovative surgical solutions. Engineers have a vast Intellectual Property (IP) experience and possess over 30 patents.

To accelerate the execution of product development, Interplex Medical supports all aspects of the design cycle including: the feasibility study, Phase I (Product Design), Phase II (Design Verification) and Phase III (Design Transfer). Products can be launched in any region of the world, utilizing Interplex Industries’ global component manufacturing locations.

INTERPLEX MEDICAL SUMMARY OF SERVICES:

• Contract Design: Over forty years of combined product development experience, including twenty-eight years of medical device developments. Design activities supported by Solidworks CAD and Solidworks COSMOS Finite Element Analysis as well as Minitab Statistical Analysis and DOE design tools.

• Prototyping: Low volume, quick launch capability with model shop and clean room device assembly to support development. Six sigma black belt on staff to support development activities.

• Device Assembly: Final assembly in a clean room environment. Supply chain management of Interplex’s global manufacturing operations and external supplier technologies. Lean/Six Sigma methodology, approach and practice.

Interplex PMP manufactures precision components including stamped and plated parts, plastic mouldings including insert moulding and in-line moulding, assemblies and tape and reel packaging. Founded in 1968, Interplex PMP offers a “one stop shop” facility, working in conjunction with customer product designers from the outset of a project to determine the best and most cost-effective solutions. Precision, quality and dedication to the needs of the customer are embedded throughout Interplex PMP - from the boardroom to the shop floor - since the company's inception.

INTERPLEX PMP SUMMARY OF SERVICES:

• Prototypes: In-house design and manufacture of prototype tooling for stamped metal components as well as short run volumes.

• Tooling: In-house tooling capabilities include grinding and Wire EDM machining and profiling to produce steel and carbide tooling designed to meet exacting specifications.

• Stamping: Design, manufacture and production of progression tooling for volume applications. Press capacity from 10 tons to 150 tons with speeds of 75 to 1800 strokes per minute.

• Plating/Selective Plating: A range of options is available from in-house facilities including copper, nickel, tin, tin-lead and gold. Selective plating techniques include: Controlled depth, Brush plating, and Mask plating for nickel and gold stripes.
