Established in 1979 and currently employing a total of 35 employees at our specialist works in Eaton Socon, Cambridgeshire, we are specialist manufacturers of Screw Conveyors, Screw Elevators, Screw Feeders, and Screw Dischargers. Our product range includes:

All machines are designed and manufactured to the highest standards to suit the specific needs and requirements of our customers. All drawings are produced using the latest CAD equipment and can be supplied to you in paper, disc or e-mail format.
All machines are manufactured 'in house' using modern equipment and we have our own machine shop which is fully equipped to suit our own requirements.
With regard to Quality Assurance we strive to meet if not exceed the expectations of our customers by constantly monitoring quality standards. Our equipment is generally built to British Standards but we are able to meet the requirements of many International Standards as well as project and engineering standards specifically relating to individual customers.
Our own standards include BS5500, ASME XIII and AD Merkblatt HPO with TUV approval, for the fabrication, welding and testing procedures applicable to manufacturing screw conveyors and pressure vessels.

Screw conveyors are accepted in most industries as the usual means of conveying powders and granules from point 'A' to point 'B'. Designs can be applied to most applications in the food, pharmaceutical, chemical, mineral and water and sewage treatment industries.
Compact in design, screw conveyors are easily adapted to suit the needs of the location and can be mounted horizontally, vertically or at an angle, and include planes as necessary.
Machines are available in trough or tubular form; trough conveyors are generally used in horizontal applications and at inclines up to 20º, while tubular conveyors are selected for elevating purposes at angles greater than 20º.
Multi Ribbon
Screw Conveyors are very versatile in that as well as conveying they can be used as feeders and to control material flow in processing operations, and also as mixers, agitators or stirrers within a variety of processes.
Screw Conveyors can be sealed to prevent leakage, can be jacketed to provide a drying or cooling medium and can be manufactured in special steels to resist corrosion, abrasion or high temperatures.

All machines supplied by Spirotech Engineering Limited are designed to industrial standards to suit the materials they are to handle. In our manufacturing process we strive to produce machinery to the highest standards of design, specification, quality of build and finish.
Aspects of our total service, many of which are not employed by our competitors, are as follows: -
* All components are purpose made to order
* All components are individually inspected
Tubular Screw Elevator
* All machines are assembled under workshop conditions employing stringent checks for correct and true alignment of all component parts.
* After proof assembly in their natural state, all machines are fully dismantled for the application of specified finishes, and all mating parts are match marked for ease of re-assembly.
* All machines are reassembled after application of specified finishes, and tested under workshop conditions to ensure that all component parts are operating correctly. Machines are then broken down into convenient lengths for transportation, if required.
Tubular Screw Elevator
Special notes:
* In order that internal ledges are eliminated all inlet and outlet spigots are fully welded internally and externally; the internal welding is then ground off smooth to a 'crack and crevice free' condition. This is a standard procedure, whatever the material of construction and whatever the application.
* We specialise in producing single-span screws up to 10 metres in length, eliminating the need for intermediate support bearings and thereby maintenance.
Centreless Flight
* Screw flights are available in many forms, for example Full Bladed, Ribbon Crescent and Paddle, with variable pitchings also available.
* Screw assemblies can be parallel flight.
* All conveyor components are produced 'in house' on modern machinery using up to date manufacturing methods.
Screw Conveyor with Hopper
Bin Dischargers
Used for the discharge and control of products from hoppers, silos or bins. Manufactured to the same standard as screw conveyors, they can be made in single or multi screw form with parallel variable pitch, tapered, or with parallel diameter and tapered cone.
Multi screw dischargers are usually fitted with spur gears.
