Kween B has machinery installed and operating in 50 countries, worldwide, including many world famous blue chip clients. In the UK alone there are over 300 machines operating. (Two International plastic recycling projects alone have been completed recently with order values in excess of £1 million)
The practical hands on reputation of Kween B has led them to write many technical papers and presentations at Commonwealth and International conventions which means that Kween B are able to offer the full turnkey solution from Consultancy and Design, into Manufacture and Implementation and finally into Support and Maintenance. Fabrication
Kween B Engineering Ltd manufactures Steel and Security fabrications into the commercial and domestic markets, such as fire escapes, security grilles and fencing and a whole host of varied contract steelwork.
This is where plastic is fed through an extruder to produce a range of products including plastic film, planks, pipes, profiles, and strapping tape, to name a few, from materials like LDPE, HDPE, LLDPE, PP & PA (nylon). Using principles like Co extrusion (where a number of layers of plastic are used for strength or cosmetic purposes) and die rotation (where the die head rotates increasing quality and uniformity)
Kween B manufactures and sell a whole range of extruders from small minilab series for research and development or specialist requirements, through to the largest of extruders for mass production in the most commercial of environments. Kween B offers over 100 different new options that can be custom built for individual requirements or geared up for multi machine requirements. A range of refurbished second user models are also available for those on a tighter budget. Kween B can install and commission all machines supplied

Single Screw for all purposes from a minilab environment up to 6 metre barrel lengths

Compounding is used when you wish to add a colour to the plastic, adding fillers to a plastic (to make the plastic have a special finish eg matt or to reduce the amount of plastic used in a job eg weight or cost), alloying plastics (adding metallised finishes), filtering and homogenising (making the material similar throughout eg mission critical production)
MASTERBATCH LINES
These are for the manufacture of masterbatch, whether this be the need for Intensive mixing for colouring, the adding of molten wax to the material for lubrication or the pre-dispersion of material for pellitisation which will later be added to raw plastic for extrusion

FILTERS

PELLETISERS
These create small pellets from extruded plastic (which are used for colouring or mixing or filling with other materials). Kween B offer a range of pelletisers to fit all preferences and materials.

-Water-ring hot die face pelletisers with dryers and takeoffs
In today's environment were would we be without the plastic bag? Kween B offer a full range of bag making machines from the largest waste sack through to the widest range of shopping bags, to bags for coins and anything in between. These can then be printed with a design of your choosing where Kween B are able to offer Flexographic type machines that will print upto 1500mm in width and with up to 12 colours.
BOTTOM WELD MACHINES
These machines are ideal for conventional bottom sealed plastic bags and are often used for the economy or mass production markets like supermarket, freezer or refuse bags. Kween B offers a wide range of models that can produce
- Flatbags (such as Freezer type bags)
- Vest type bags (such as supermarket type bags)
- Perforated bags on the reel (such as refuse bags)
These machines can be manual or automated and can have options fitted like winders, conveyor stackers, photocell sensors to help line up printed material and can be fitted with hot pins or copper knife depending on the design wishing to be produced.

SIDE WELD MACHINES
These machines offer speciality type bag production (higher spec shopping bags) or for non-standard type bags (polyloop draw strings). They can also be used for mass production on bags that require some precision (drawstrings) or an unusual size (coin bags)

PRINTERS

FILM TREATMENT
Kween B can offer Corona treating equipment to help with the printing on plastic that is either single or double sided
With the current concerns for the environment and the economic issues, recycling plastics is a very viable proposition as it saves cost on production of new plastics, by reutilising existing resources and also the damage on the environment with landfills that produce lethal gases, damage the surrounding areas in addition to many plastics that aren't biodegradable. The use of incineration for waste is also becoming highly frowned upon due to the gases and by-products produced. Kween B have a large range of products to convert these wastes to new products (such as refuse bags, boards or any other plastic shape you might consider).
RECYCLING LINES

AGGLOMERATORS/DENSIFIERS/CRUMBERS
These convert light scrap plastic into small dense, random sized granules with a density similar to original virgin granules that can be extruded in place of the virgin material
Kween B offers 9 different sizes that can produce an output from 50kg an hour to over 1,000kg an hour.

GRANULATORS
Granulators reduce plastic and plastic lumps into small free flowing chips that can be reused as it is or filtered and pelletised to replace virgin feedstocks. Kween B offers a range of different sizes and rotor designs depending on required outputs (from 150kgs an hour to 2000 kgs an hour) and materials granulated (The machines can granulate most plastic materials eg PVC pipes and ABS type materials.

SHREDDERS
Machines specially designed to reduce large pieces of plastic into smaller items that may then be Agglomerated or Granulated. Kween B have a range of machines that incorporate low horse power to reduce vibration, running costs and eliminate noise (The usual problems with high horse power versions) and high horsepower machines for the stubborn pieces and high output. The range can process 200 kgs an hour up to 1500kgs an hour and can also be used for logs, tyres or barrels.

PULVERISERS
Pulverisers will convert most modern thermoplastics or soft metals into powder. They are supplied with a classifier and internal loop system to ensure particle size compliance before being used for rotational moulding. Kween B have a range of these specialised machines please ring for more details
