Kinsley Custom Manufactured Timing Screws
A customized timing screw can help you get the most out of your high speed packaging system. Kinsley Timing Screws are tailored to your requirements, from the configuration of your containers. Instead of working only with standardrange thread patterns, we cut the helix to fit individual containers. This reduces unnecessary bumping noises and prevents nicks and scratches.
Another important consideration is the acceleration accuracy. We determine the proper thread angle to customize the rate of acceleration to suit your operating conditions.
Kinsley Timing Screws have provided accurate spacing and careful handling in the feeding of millions of containers of various configurations. Their many applications include all types of filling machines, cappers, labelers, washers, counters, cottoners, and packaging machines.
Custom Controlled Timing for your application
Straight line Feeding - For straight line feeding arrangements, Kinsley timing screws have a constant root diameter. The thread height grows from zero to a maximum thus allowing the container to travel in a straight line along the root surface.
Tapered Root Feeding - Inverse tapered root timing screws are used to feed non round containers with better control in a random condition. This design requires an offset guide rail for maximum control. This type of infeed also tends to relieve excess line pressure on infeed thread.
Double Thread Screws - Special Thread for oval containers, to stop shingling or yawing.
Turning Screws - For turning a container 90, 180, or 360 degrees, for proper orientation on a synchronized line.
Timing Screws - For fully constrained handling of containers into a star wheel or other operation.
Combining and Dividing Screws - For splitting a single line into two for intermediate operations, then joining the lines afterward.
Accelerating or Decelerating Screws - To synchronize different machine operations from one process function to another.
Dwell Screws - delivers a pause in the travel of the container to accommodate special process functions.
Shingle Screws - Preferred method to handle a flat or square sided container.
Straight line feeding screws can pick up containers at random, and discharge them on a conveyor at the timed increment spacing required. Several design considerations make this possible. The discharge pitch of the thread form is equal to containers. As the conveyor moves this distance, the Timing Screw makes one revolution, causing the container to follow the forward side of the thread form.
Transfer screws - serve as the connection between star wheels of synchronized machines. Maximum control of containers is possible through these method, for increasing speed and reliable feeding.

Specifications
Timing screws are supplied in diameters up to 12 inches and lengths up to 20 feet and more. Container feeding speeds are up to 1,000 per minute. Unless otherwise specified, the screws are made of ultra high molecular weight Polyethylene (Hi-Fax 1900). For certain applications, screws can be furnished in Delrin, Nylon or Polyurethane. Transfer worms between packaging machines in a synchronized line are a specialty of Kinsley, Inc.. A special Kinsley Patented thread form with two-point contact can be provided where stability of tall containers, or throws with flask or hip-shape is required.

Capper
Consolidate 8 Hd. capper using 4 stations. This special application required specially designed torque release chucks with hollow release button to avoid depressing the plunger type cap.
