A.B. Linear Services Ltd is a company that specialises in the
service and repair of recirculating ballscrews.
Our technicians have a vast knowledge of repair, design and manufacture
of a whole range of ballscrew products.

In addition to our ballscrew repair service, we also offer a repair and refurbishment service
of high-frequency milling and grinding spindles.

25 working day turn around for reground shafts and ball nuts
45 working day turn around for new units, less for DIN standard types.

What will we do?
On receipt of your ballscrew, our engineers will;
Photograph the unit for record of nut orientation and other features that maybe removed during assessment.
Your unit will be fully stripped to asses the condition of; the shaft and nut raceways, ball transfer devices and wipers. The condition of end journals and locknut threads will be recorded.
After our engineer has completed his assessment, we will send you a brief report on the condition of your unit. Also, you will receive the options available to get your ballscrew to a serviceable condition and prices for the respective options.
Standard repair options
Refurbishment and re-ball.
This involves all the components being thoroughly cleaned, the shaft is checked for straightness and re-straightened if necessary. Any damage to journals and threads is dressed out and the whole shaft is then polished. The unit is then rebuilt and the correct preload torque is set.
Regrind shaft and new nut.
If the ballscrew has suffered fatigue damage in the balltrack, our next option is then to regrind the shaft and manufacture new nut.
Supply new unit.
We are able to do a full engineering drawing of your ballscrew and have a new unit manufactured to the same dimensions as the sample unit.

They are also fully experienced and capable to repair or supply new Acomel inventers.
Broverac Services have been expanding their facililty on the outskirts of Paris and are keen to work
with ABL in order develop the UK market.

All components are controlled, cleaned and the rotating parts balanced

Sensors are tested and adjusted
All the spindles are tested in rotation and a detailed tests report is made and given to the customer.
