About Us

We would like to take this opportunity to introduce our company as being one of the top film/sheet die manufacturers in North America.

Allied Dies, Inc. was founded in 1996. Our main business focus is in flat film and sheet dies. Our emphasis is in customer service.

Our 25,000 square feet manufacturing facility is equipped with the necessary machinery and personnel to complete the manufacture of new flat dies and the repairs needed on most any existing flat dies.

Our company's founders have 100+ years of combined experience in the flat die industry. This experience has brought us face to face with dies manufactured by many other companies.

Allied Dies, Inc. has the necessary computer technology and training to run polymer flow simulations based on resin rheology data. This technology, along with our experience and knowledge of flat dies, allows us to design and build new flat dies and re cut flow channels on existing dies as product requirements change.

Our die designs take a simple approach to mono layer and co-extruded products. We have established a history of high quality dies and a repeat customer base.

We are proud of our reputation for putting the customer first in every area of our operations. We feel that this attitude is one of the most important contributors to our success and to the success of the customers we serve. Our goals are to give customers the best quality, price, and delivery.

Products and Services

The ADI Advantage:

Engineering: All ADI Dies are manufactured from designs that are created in-house to meet the customers specific needs.

Facility: ADI supports a 25,000 square-foot manufacturing plant that is privately and locally owned by its founders.

Expertise: The founding Members of ADI have over 100+ years of combined extensive experience in the manufacture and rework of flat film and sheet dies.

Service Areas: ADI not only offers new design and remanufacturing services to the U.S. processor, but also to foreign processors.

Quality: ADI's extensive knowledge of extrusion dies, acquired over the years, allows us to offer top quality dies and rework services at a very competitive price. We understand the cost of downtime, therefore we strive for on-time deliveries.

DuraFlex Dies

At Allied Dies, our technology begins with polymer flow channel analysis and design. Polymer rheology data is analyzed through computer flow simulations to determine proper die design. Computer flow simulations address factors like flow rate distribution, internal pressure, and residence time in the die.

There is a Duraflex Die design to meet most extrusion requirements. Special die designs can be created for unique extrusion processes.

DuraFlex 40L & 40R
Designed with coathanger manifold in a small body for low pressure / narrow film and laboratory applications. DuraFlex AH40
Designed with coathanger manifold for thin film, thin sheet, and extrusion coating. The design also includes a larger body cross-section for thermal stability and additional strength in high pressure applications.
DuraFlex AL40
Designed with coathanger manifold for film, extrusion coating, and low pressure applications.
DuraFlex AH75 & AH100
Designed with coathanger manifold for film, thin sheet, and medium sheet applications. The design also includes a larger body cross-section for thermal stability and additional strength in high pressure applications. DuraFlex AR40, AR75 & AR100
Designed with streamline manifold and adjustable preland section using a restrictor bar. A universal design for custom sheet producers. The restrictor bar adjusts for coarse gauge control as rates and materials change while the flex lip adjusts for fine gauge control. Interchangeable lower lips can be utilized to change opening range and land length.
DuraFlex AHR75 & AHR100
Designed with streamline manifold and restrictor bar for medium and heavy sheet applications. The design includes a larger body cross-section for greater strength and thermal stability at high pressures. Interchangeable lower lips can be utilized to change opening range and land length. DuraFlex AHSD (Heavy Duty Die)
Designed with streamline manifold and restrictor bar for heavy gauge sheet application. A combination of removable lower lip and an adjustable sliding upper lip provides a wide range of possible gauge thickness.
DuraFlex
Multi-Manifold Die
This design can be a combination of die designs to accommodate co-extrusions. DuraFlex AMSD (Magnum Sheet Die)
Designed is similar to the heavy sheet die with a larger cross-section for use in high pressure and very heavy gauge sheet application. Body strength and thermal stability is a very important consideration in this design.
