Mixing Screw Technology: Performance

Taylor's HPM Division has been a leader in the drive for higher output at lower temperatures, resulting in a family of extruders job-matched for a variety of applications. Our extruders are meticulously designed and manufactured for reliability, better mixing quality and greater pounds-per-hour output. From the competitively priced Prodex® I that doesn’t compromise on features or performance, to the powerful and versatile Prodex® III, HPM extruders incorporate the world famous mixing screw technology we invented and perfected.

HPM Extrusion: Profitable Compounding

No one can offer you more resources, more real-world experience, or more innovative extrusion technology than HPM. Through our compounding technology and process experience, we can provide cost-effective, single screw solutions that deliver outstanding output rates to improve your productivity and profitability.

System Integration: Maximum Efficiency

Peak performance requires more than superior equipment. It demands that all components of your compounding system work harmoniously to meet the high levels of product quality and machine productivity that today’s competitive market demands. That’s why Taylor's HPM Division offers a unique blend of process knowledge and strategic ancillary equipment partnerships to seamlessly integrate a variety of brand-name mixing and blending system equipment. From upstream gravimetric or volumetric feeding and blending systems to downstream pelletizing systems, Taylor's HPM Division offers a combination of processing experience and equipment expertise to be your single source for a fully integrated compounding system.

Single Screw: Twin Performance

The advanced extrusion technology of HPM has produced single screw designs that meet and exceed the compounding capabilities of twin screw extruders. For typical color and highly filled applications, a single screw extruder means much lower equipment and operating costs per pound produced — a tremendous advantage in today’s competitive market. By using smaller extruders and running our proprietary screws at high rpms, HPM customers find that they can achieve output rates once thought unattainable.

With HPM single screw extruders, you have the capabilities you need to:

* Process color concentrates for a fine, consistent mix
* Convert powder materials to pellets
* Compound talc-, glass- and mica-filled resins
* Reclaim scrap materials

Even filler loadings in excess of 50% calcium carbonate can easily be accommodated with HPM single screw compounding systems.

HPM Extrusion: Profitable Solutions

Nobody has devoted more resources, gained a broader spectrum of valuable experience, and pushed the frontier of extrusion technology further than Taylor's HPM Division. Whether it’s engineering a single extruder with the precise screw performance to meet exacting multi-material needs, or designing a turnkey processing line for immediate high-output production, Taylor's HPM Division can apply an unrivaled insight and dedication to custom solutions without a long trial-and-error learning curve.

Sheet Extrusion: Unparalleled Solutions

Nobody has devoted more resources, gained a broader spectrum of valuable experience, and delivered more one-of-a-kind sheet extrusion system solutions than Taylor's HPM Division. Whether it’s engineering and building the world’s largest sheet line, maintaining a multi-million-dollar fully functioning sheet-line laboratory, or earning the highest sheet processing award from the Extrusion Division of the Society of Plastics Engineers, Taylor's HPM Division can apply an unrivaled insight and dedication to custom solutions, without a long trial-and-error learning curve.

Sheet Extrusion: Unparalleled Solutions

Taylor's HPM Division understands that the sheet maker’s craft is more than machines, dies and peripherals. It’s integrating the finest components into a harmonious system. So Taylor's HPM Division has worked hands-on with customers worldwide to pioneer innovative components that enhance productivity from the beginning to the end of the line. A few examples:

* Taylor's HPM Division invented the famous Double Wave® family of extruder mixing screws to improve uniform temperature distribution across the sheet width.
* We revolutionized the industry with configurable rolls to greatly expand a sheet line’s material processing capability, and give operators unequalled production flexibility.
* And Taylor's HPM Division was the first to prepare and provide finite element analysis of the sheet temperature profile before the sheet -line system reaches the drawing board.
