Ball Screw Rebuilding Stages:
* When a Ball Screw is received at BSU it is visually inspected for wear and total indication run out.
* Disassembled
* Regrind screw if necessary or relap and polish.
* Return tubes and wipers replaced if needed
* Nut reground or replaced if needed
* Inspect for straightness
* Inspect Bearing Journals
* Ground hard chrome plate and regrind back to finish sizes
* Reassembled with oversized chrome steel balls to compensate for backlash
* Ball Screw is tested for the correct amount of torque
BSU guarantees total indication run out + or - .0001 to .0002 per linear foot
In the event your ball screw cannot be refurbished BSU will quote you on a new Ball Screw and Nut Assembly.
