This letter introduces our company and its services. Enclosed is a list of our machine tools available for tooling and production needs. This is our 46th year in business. We have 43 people; average age is 45 years and average length of service is 12 years.
In 2002 we began an 8000 sq. ft. addition. We will move into this addition in January 2003. A new machine for this area will be a Starrag (Swiss), 5 axis-machining center, Model STC-1000. This is a world-class machining center with dual pallets, 15,000-rpm HSK-A-100 spindle, 93.9 horsepower and a swing diameter of 66.9". The machine will not be in production until mid 2003. We have also purchased a Abar-Ipsen 6-bar vacuum furnace. The furnace is 24"W x 14"H x 36"D. Maximum temperature 2400 deg.F.
In 2001 in January, we purchased a Hofmann balancing machine. We can now balance parts and assemblies in one or two planes, weights to 1000 lbs., diameters to 40" and lengths to 75".
We now have a 3D solids modeling software called "Solid Edge". With Solid Edge we are creating remarkable images and drawings. It is a great engineering tool that provides weights, areas, volumes, etc for complex shapes and assemblies.
In 2000 we purchased two Monarch Machining Centers, a 70-hp.-air compressor and an 800 MHz CAD/CAM computer. This cost was approximately 475K.
In 1999 we ordered a Hauser S35 CNC 401 Jig Grinder and a Boston Digital 12G Electrode Machining Center (SN: 2). The Hauser is considered by many to be the "Best in the World" and the 12G is a new model from Boston Digital-very accurate and extremely fast. This expenditure is about $700K.
In 1998 we purchased four major machine tools at a cost of over 1M dollars. They included a 42" Blanchard Grinder, an Agie "Star 50" EDM Die Sinker, a Hardinge T65-L CNC Lathe & an Edgetek Form Grinder. The form grinder will allow us to grind materials that are considered unmachinable including carbides, ceramics & hard surfacing alloys for the extruder industry.
In 1997 we purchased a Zeiss CMM with a range of 33.4" x 70.9" x 31.8" and an accuracy of 0.000170" per 12".
We are trying very hard to maintain a shop for our customers with "World Class" equipment offering the best accuracy and the latest technology. We specialize in parts for Defense, Aerospace, Textile, Automotive and Twin Screw Extruder Components that have difficult geometry and require precision machining. CAM: Weber Synergy Systems
Synergy uses "AMO," Webers innovative Automated Manufacturing Output feature, to provide optimum productivity and total cost and quality management. AMO functions like a manufacturing word processor with virtually unlimited but simple data processing capabilities. In addition to CNC code, AMO will simultaneously generate all process plans, drawings, tool and material lists, time studies, cost analyses and more.
The key to Synergy's automation capabilities is "knowledge-based machining." Unlike traditional CAD/CAM software, Synergy incorporates not only the tools for creating design and manufacturing information, but also the expertise to process the information in meaningful ways, which is specifically tailored to each user.
It Provides Us The Ability To Program Simultaneous 2, 3 And 4 AXIS Machining Operations. It Also Allows Us To Perform MATH And GEOMETRY CALCULATIONS Which Previously Were Impossible For Us.
Additional Software Allows Us To DIGITIZE Parts On Our Ziess CMM And Transform That Data, Thru Synergy, To NC CODE.
We have three complete Systems to provide back-up. I would be very surprised if we could not program your parts within the realm of our 5 axis Sytems.
