Over the years these guidelines have helped us develop a complete blown film line with all Addex components, most of them patented. Since all were developed in house, Addex acquired a depth of knowledge seldom found in our market. Probably the best measures of our success are the copies by our most reputable competititors of the components that for various reasons we were unable to patent. We believe that the principles that guided us so well through good and bad times will continue to help us become the leader in the blown film equipment market.

HISTORY

Addex, was founded in July 1989 as a supplier of high-technology components for blown film production, most of which we were able to patent:

1989 1-5 layer dies, air rings
1990 Non contact IBC control
1991 GBR Gauge Band Randomizer
1992 Extruder
1994 Side fed coex dies
1995 IGC Internal Gauge Control
1999 REDI Regular Division Dies
2000 EGC External Gauge Control
2002 Talon Computerized Full Line Control
2003 SUPERWIND
2004 MDO Lite
2005 Revised GBR Gauge Band Randomizer
2006 SLIMLINE extruders

At the 1994 NPE show Addex displayed its first “complete blown film line” made up of 3 x 2” (50 mm) extruders and a 4” (100 mm), 3 layer IBC die that was side-fed to allow the IBC air exchange, but still with vertical spiral mandrels. The winder was a refurbished Gloucester winder. Addex had supplied several, “almost complete lines” before that, most of them without the winder and/or the extruders.

At the 2003 NPE show Addex revealed its SUPERWIND that had taken several years to develop. With its own winder and computerized complete line control Addex started to supply complete lines with all Addex components.

Today Addex has supplied some of the most sophisticated lines capable of producing very flat film, without camber, with the lowest possible gauge variation and the highest possible outputs
