Advance Equipment Company was founded in 1978 by Richard E. Hoverter. A talented engineer, Richard managed and built several PVC pipe plants over a career in the plastics industry that began in the 1940s. Irritated by PVC pipe bellers that didn't work very well, one day he decided, “I can do this BETTER.” And he did. The rest, as they say, is history.


Advance Equipment is currently owned and operated by Richard Sr.’s son, Richard L. (Dick) Hoverter, also a dedicated engineer. Originally based in a 2000 sq. ft. garage in sleepy Sunnyside, WA, the business expanded to Olympia,WA in 1986. Now, as one of the industry’s premium suppliers of pipe bellers, saws, and other downstream equipment, Advance Equipment is about to move into new 22,000 sq. ft. facilities.


At Advance, we build quality, and it shows in both our machines and our factory. We keep our factory well-organized and clean, and our machine shop is full of modern CNC machine tools. We also design using the latest CAD, CAM, and 3D design tools. Our employees take pride in their work, whether that work is design or manufacture, and it shows in everything we do.
