BurBak Companies was originally founded by Mr. Burden and Mr. Baker in 1969 - hence the name "BurBak." Jerry Greene, President, joined the company shortly after its creation. All three of the original employees were mold makers by experience and the company became fully operational in the Spring of 1970 in Leominster, Massachusetts.

BurBak began by making molds used in the investment casting industry. The company moved to its present location in Wilton, New Hampshire in November 1970. At that time the company had a total of five employees and leased a 2000 square feet building.

In 1973, Mr. Greene became the president, purchased the building and one year later added an additional 2000 sq. ft. to the existing structure and hired an additional eleven employees.

The company continued to prosper and grow. The principal products in the early years of the company were wax and plastic injection molds. Starting in 1974, the company began producing injection-molded parts and later began developing custom injection molding for the casting industry.

From 1975 through 2005 plant space increased from 4000 sq. ft. to its present size of 35,000 sq. ft. and the number of employees increased from 16 to 100 full-time and part-time employees.

In 1985, sales of custom injection molded parts exceeded the sales of our tooling operations, an indication of customer needs for custom designed injection molds. Our customers are in the broad fields of electronics, medical components, and military systems.

In 1986 Burbak Machine Corporation was divided into two divisions; Burbak Plastics and Burbak Machine. In June 1999 Burbak Plastics became ISO 9002 certified, and is currently certified to ISO 9001 : 2000
