Claremont Flock has experienced tremendous growth and change since its beginning in 1915. The company's original purpose as Claremont Waste Manufacturing was to recycle by-product from local textile mills into filler flock. The process made it possible for customers to eliminate the normal waste of unused textiles and increased the bottom line. Today, with facilities located throughout the world, Claremont Flock Corporation continues to foster efficient production by providing a quality product as well as the technical assistance that is crucial to the cost-effective and efficient use of flock.
Fiber is our business, and we are the world's largest independent producer of flock fiber as well as your best source for technical assistance.
Our ability to help companies customize the flocking process for their needs sets us apart from the rest. Because the successful application of flock is dependent on the climatic and environmental conditions within a manufacturing facility, not every type, length or finish of flock will work at every site. With vast experience in flock processing, our skilled technicians are uniquely qualified to work with customers to generate the best results for a specific use at a specific location.
Claremont Flock, along with its subsidiaries (SwissFlock in Switzerland and Germany, and SwissFlock International in China), is committed to excellence and able to meet the needs of companies throughout the world. Companies rely on Claremont Flock for on-time delivery of the right flock for their specific needs.
Our History
After years of success, and having several different owners, in 1988 the Employees of Claremont Flock purchased the business. Today, Claremont Flock is 100% Employee Owned.
In 1998, Claremont Flock acquired the flock production activities of Rhodia-Filtec. The new company, called SwissFlock, continues its operations in Emmenbrücke, Switzerland, where it has been located for the past 50 years. SwissFlock is the leading world-wide producer to the automotive door and window profile market and serves other markets such as upholstery, decorative tee shirts, and packaging.
Our commitment to satisfy the needs of our customers, world-wide, fuels our vision of continued growth, efficiency and productivity. As part of this plan, SwissFlock acquired the distribution business of Wilhelm GmbH & Co. KG, in 2002, SwissFlock's distributor for over 50 years. The acquisition of this German company has enhanced our service capabilities and allowed Claremont Flock to provide continuity to customers throughout the world.
In 2004, Claremont Flock joined with Shanghai Ronghua Polyester Co., Ltd. to form a joint venture, SwissFlock International, located in Kunshan, Jiangsu, China. Its focus is to produce flock for the Chinese automotive, upholstery, apparel, packaging and mat markets, and like all of our operations, to provide the best product and service for our customers' specific needs.
Our vision for the future is one of continued growth and commitment to satisfy the needs of our customers world-wide.
Capabilities Second to None
Claremont Flock Corporation's capabilities are second to none. Whether it's cutting, dyeing, or custom finishing, we offer a process or finish that will both improve and enhance your products.
Precision Cut Fiber
Claremont Flock is able to cut almost any fibrous material in lengths ranging from as short as 0.015 inches (0.37 mm) to as long as 1.00 inches (25.4 mm). Our proprietary cutting and finishing equipment enables us to cut fiber to the shortest dimensions in the industry.
Random Cut Fiber
Many flock applications can utilize fiber of varying dimensions. Beginning with raw materials such as textile clippings or staple fiber, Claremont Flock produces fibers that can be screened for length and finished for use as fillers or used in mechanical/electrostatic flocking.
