About Us
Since our inception almost 20 years ago, C S Plastic Services Inc. has achieved a solid reputation in the plastics extrusion industry with a growing list of clients across Canada, the United States and Mexico. We have a strong customer service mandate, and many of our clients return year after year with their equipment needs.
Because we own every item that we offer for sale, we provide quick turn-around time, allowing you to start production sooner. For example, if a machine isn't immediately available on our floor, a 4½" extruder can be refurbished and ready to ship in 8 to 10 weeks. Customers ordering a new machine from a manufacturer can face a much longer waiting period.
Our goal is to provide quality refurbished extruders, granulators and downstream extrusion equipment in a timely fashion at a significantly lower price than new.

Sales Overview
All of the products in our catalog are owned by C S Plastic Services Inc. Some machines are completely refurbished and ready to ship immediately, while others are in the process of being refurbished.
All prices quoted are in U.S. dollars, F.O.B. our plant in Waterloo, Ontario. G.S.T. is added to all Canadian sales. We require 50% down payment with a Purchase Order, with the balance due after inspection, prior to shipment. Our prices do not include shipping and customs costs. However, we offer full support for loading, shipping and customs documentation. Company experts work closely with clients to ensure a smooth shipment and delivery.
Potential clients interested in viewing the equipment first-hand, and customers who want to see their machine in operation before shipping, are invited to visit us. Complimentary accommodation is available on-site,
featuring full kitchen facilities and a recreation room with satellite

The Process
C S Plastic Services Inc. searches the market for used extruders that are tired and in need of upgrading. Older extruders generally come with heavier gearboxes and sturdier frames than are found on some of today's newer models. We strip the extruder and perform a complete refurbishing from the frame up.
The extruders are rewired and gearboxes are completely stripped and reassembled using new seals. Gears, bearings and thrust bearings are replaced if necessary. Barrels are either replaced or honed to within accepted standards, and new DC Drive controllers, along with new console style fully digital control panels, are offered as standard equipment.
Customers may also order a specific machine adapted to suit their needs, such as additional temperature zones, head pressure gauges, melt indicators, water cooled, air cooled, gear ratios, barrel lengths and centerline heights.
When an extruder leaves our plant, it has been thoroughly tested and run on our floor without material. Each machine carries our exclusive 90-day parts and labour "warranty", new parts come with a 1-year Warranty, and new Mentor II DC Drive Controllers feature a 5-year warranty. Please note that granulators are excluded from our Warranty.
Our granulators and downstream equipment are refurbished in the same manner. They are torn down to the frames, and checked thoroughly by our trained technicians. All parts are replaced if necessary.
All of our refurbished equipment leaves our plant painted in C S Plastic Services' colours, blue and silver.
Control Panel
Our specially designed control panels are free-standing, console-style units, featuring new digital heat controls and a new Mentor II DC Drive Controller. We provide digital RPM and screw speed meters, and a speed pot for the DC Drive. We also supply complete wiring diagrams. Options include head pressure and melt indicator gauges.
Sheet Lines
C S Plastic Services Inc. specializes in refurbished single sheet lines, co-extrusion sheet lines and sheet lines modified to go directly into formers!
We dont just sell individual machines for the plastics processing and recycling industries we also specialize in complete sheet lines. We have the expertise to provide the set-up you need for your manufacturing operation. We work closely with our clients during the teardown and refurbishing process to ensure that modifications are designed to your specifications.
We do not keep rollstacks and thermoformers in stock, however, we have a strong working relationship with a network of end-users and suppliers across North America to locate the machine thats right for you. Once we find it, we bring it in-house and begin the refurbishing process with you in mind.

Where are you located?
Our head office and refurbishing center is located in the city of Waterloo, in southwestern Ontario. The twin cities of Kitchener and Waterloo are approximately 100 kilometres west of Toronto, and within a 3-hour drive from Buffalo, New York and Detroit, Michigan.
What if I'm not sure what size of machine I need?
We have over 30 years experience in the plastic extrusion industry, and can help you decide which machine will best suit your needs.
What if I don't want a refurbished machine?
Our reputation is built on the quality of our equipment, and the fact that we supply a turn-key product, under warranty. We do not sell equipment that has not been refurbished.
What if I can't visit your plant personally to inspect my machine before shipment?
Customers who cannot visit us personally, can request a video tape of their machine in operation, without material, before it's shipped.
Will you refurbish my extruder?
We only refurbish our own equipment. However, we do consider trade-ins.
Can you modify an extruder for me?
Yes. We can refurbish to suit your requirements, including additional temperature zones, head pressure gauges, melt indicators, etc.
Will you refurbish my granulator?
Yes, we will. Contact us for details.
What if you don't have the equipment I need in stock?
We can source equipment for you, and provide you with a price "refurbished".
Do you offer consulting services?
