As Canada's second oldest feed screw manufacturer, it has been our goal to be a world leader in our field. P.E.M. provides cutting-edge design and production services through our in-depth engineering capabilities and a substantial investment in CNC technologies.

Our diverse client base of OEM's, distributors and end users around the globe, have relied on our reputation for on-time deliveries and products that conform to precise specifications.

Our experience in servicing the plastics processing industry ensures the highest OEM standards are met. Our industry-specific knowledge and insight into the most sophisticated of processes, ensures all application requirements are addressed at the manufacturing and user levels.

Whether you require new or replacement components, you can rely on P.E.M.

The Screw is the Heart of Every Injection Molding and Extrusion Machine
Being competitive in today's challenging business environment requires a best possible production process. The screw, and in particular its design, influence the overall productivity to a significant degree.

A custom designed feed screw, taking all your unique processing factors into consideration, typically outperforms any "off the shelf" screw design.

P.E.M. combines latest scientific screw performance modeling with extensive experience of in-house engineers to design screws for a wide variety of applications.

Screw performance modeling includes prediction of:

* Maximum Screw Pressure and Pressure Distribution
* Melting Start, End, and Solid Bed Deformations
* Final Melt Temperature and Local Temperatures along the Screw Axis
* Screw torque and motor horsepower requirements

Screw wear and wear patterns can be estimated based on the results above.

CAD-Capable - Extensive Archives

As specialists in custom designing of new feed screws, we are fully CAD capable and can accept your CAD files directly. This enables us to seamlessly make any modifications that may be required.

P.E.M. clients also have access to our extensive archive of drawings and designs especially for the Injection Molding and Extrusion Industries (excluding confidential and proprietary drawings).
