Davis-Standard is experienced in manufacturing simple extrusion coating lines with one laminator and one extruder (mono coating) up to complex extrusion coating lines with three laminators and multiple coextrusion for different polymers, optionally with gravimetric blending. Such a line is based on a cassette feedblock system in combination with an ER-WE-PA automatic die model 310 A or 510 A and also on the ER-WE-PA process control system EXACT-S in combination with PLC S7. Efficient winders and unwinders, corresponding to the different widths and roll diameters required, and providing a highly precise web splice, are also available as coaters (lacquering / priming and printing) for in-line operation Davis-Standard manufactures extrusion lines for 1-layer, 3-layer, 5-layer and 7-layer blown film. Extruders of type MAC are used in these lines and characterised by low construction design and an integrated air exhaust system. Mono and multilayer dies for diameter ranges from 50 - 1500 mm are produced in the works of Davis-Standard. High capacity air rings are available, optionally with automatic profile control system. Blown film lines are offered with oscillating i.e. stable exhaust system. For this application, collapsing units can be provided for all current films including sticky films. Davis-Standard disposes of a wide range of special winders. The contact winder PAC 50 can optionally be delivered with center drive and gap winding facility. A technical center in Somerville, New Jersey, is available for test runs. The line is equipped with five extruders and different blown film dies to produce films with up to 7 layers. A contact (center) winder as well as a turret winder are ready for the production of excellent rolls.   Davis-Standard manufactures cast film lines for stretch film, embossed film, barrier film, etc. All usual materials such as PE, PP, PA, COC, EVOH, PET, etc. can be processed. Multilayer structures with up to 10 layers are produced. The lines are supplied with a working width of 2 m, 3 m, and 4 m. Coextrusion technology and the best winder are decisive for the success of the line. We offer the culisse winder, up to 4 m wide with 6" cores and 1000 mm roll diameter, the turret winder up to 2 m or 3 m wide, 3" or 6" cores and the new dual winder, up to 4 m wide (2 x 2 m), 3" cores and 400 mm roll diameter, which is especially suitable for stretch film. Davis-Standard supplies custom tailored complete lines - from conveying system, gravimetric, coextrusion unit, cassette feedblock, automatic die, type ER-WE-PA 310 A, casting section, winder, adapted to the individual product and the process control system EXACT-S, controlling the line in conjunction with the PLC S7. For special applications we can e.g. supply mono axial stretching equipment (MDO), temperature control systems, laminating stations as well as wet and dry embossing stations. Davis-Standard manufactures elastomer extrusion systems for the tire industry as well as automotive tubing and sealing systems. Systems include smooth or pin barrel design, vacuum vented version, silicone extruders, multi- purpose and custom designed rubber extruders, extrusion heads, custom screw designs, curing systems, downstream equipment and integrated process control systems. Davis-Standard supplies complete lines for core insulation and cable sheathing, for the production of special cables as well as stranding lines for different applications. Extruders for processing of all usual materials, such as PVC, PP, OH-PE, TPE, XLPE, FEP, ETFE, rubber, etc. are offered. Also available are cross heads with quick colour change systems or for skin-foam-skin applications. Pay off and take up systems of different kind, e.g. flyer pay offs, fully automatic dual reelers, pintle winders, etc. are in our program. The lines are equipped with accumulator, cooling troughs, wire preheaters, etc. Combined SZ stranding and sheathing lines are offered as well as CV lines for power cables and fibre optic. Depending on equipment, sheet thickness ranging from 150 µm to 25 mm and finished width up to 8 meters are offered. According to application an output of up to 4.000 kg/h is achieved. Resins such as HMW-HDPE, PP, HIPS, PET, ABS, PPO, PC, PMMA, TPO, etc. can be processed. Extruders are supplied with screw diameters from 25 to 300 mm, either air or water cooled. The ER-WE-PA feedblock system, especially developed for sheet and ER-WE-PA dies from own manu- facture guarantee the production of highest quality sheet. High precision rollstacks for the individual production process are available in vertical, inclined and horizontal design. Individually driven polishing rolls meet utmost requirements. An air knife can be integrated for thin products. Winders for simple application as well as combined winders for thin and thick material are in our program. Sheet lines are completed by length and cross cutters as well as stackers. The process control system EXACT-S provides all data necessary for the operation of the line and controls the line in conjunction with the PLC S7. For thermoformable products such as HIPS, PP and PET an automatic die and cross profile control is supplied.
