Macro Engineering & Technology Inc. is a global supplier of systems, components and services to the plastic film industry. Macro designs and manufactures advanced extrusion & coextrusion equipment for barrier & specialty films, custom winding & unwinding solutions, and supplies turnkey installations, product development and training services. The Company is headquartered in a state-of-the-art facility in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada and has sales offices in China, Germany and the Czech Republic. Over 80% of Macro's revenue is generated by exports to the USA, Latin America, Europe and Asia. In 1995 Macro was honored with the Canada Export Award as one of Canada's leading technology exporting companies. Founded in 1979 by its President, Mirek Planeta, a Chemical Engineer with a Masters Degree in Plastic & Rubber Processing Technology, Macro owns over 30 patents related to plastic film processing technology. Continuous investment in R&D ensures that the latest technology is always available to the Macro's customers. During its growth, Macro has made several important breakthroughs in the plastic film processing technology.
