Injector Screws Engineering Pty. Ltd. specializes in refurbishment of Nitrided and Hard Chromed screws. We successfully repair general purpose, barrier type, vented and twin screws throughout the industry. Our fully equipped workshop has the facilities to restore nitrided and B1 metal barrels either by sleeving or honing oversize.

Injector Screws Engineering Pty. Ltd. specialises in Plasma Transferred Arc Hardfacing, using the GAP Plasma Transferred Arc Process.
The Starweld Process is used to significantly extend the service life of components which are subjected to intense wear, corrosion and thermal shock in normal operation. This is achieved by producing a single or multi-layered alloy-based defect-free overlay to the base material, while maintaining a narrow heat-affected zone and very low base metal dilution.
This process has proven highly effective in a variety of engineering applications including equipment used in;

The Managing Director of Injector Screw Engineering Mr. Manuel Gomes (a toolmaker by trade), formed the company in 1991. He recognised the need to shift to more advanced hardfacing techniques in order to deliver higher precision wear resistant alloy deposits to Industry.
He developed expertise in the field of hardfacing and repair of injection moulding, plastic polymer processing components and machinery. In particular, he gained a reputation for high-quality precision machining and repair of injection moulding extruder screws and barrels.
During this time he applied the more and proven methods of hardfacing, machining and polishing to deliver precision quality components to the Plastics Industry.
Manuel Gomes built and operated his business with the understanding and knowledge that high quality workmanship and fast turnaround were the keys to providing cost-effective services to the plastics industry.
He understands the unique requirements of the industry and brings over 20 years of skill and expertise to Injector Screws Engineering.
Today Injector Screws employs full time three members of the Gomes family, Sylvia Gomes who Manages the Administration of Injector Screws and Andrew who takes care of the I.T. Aspects as well as being a skilled Engineer in his own right.
