The California Film Extruders and Converters Association (CFECA) is a trade association of manufacturers and suppliers dedicated to representing impartially the broad interests of the plastic film extruding and converting industry in California. CFECA strives to be the nation's leading regional trade organization in the plastic film industry.
This mission expresses itself in a commitment to four key objectives.
First, the organization will serve as the voice of extruders and converters with regard to political, environmental and industry issues, both statewide and nationally.
Second, the association is committed to providing educational opportunities for its members, including discussions of relevant technical and legal issues.
Third, CFECA is dedicated to providing a forum for networking among manufacturers and between manufacturers and their suppliers.
Finally, CFECA also promises to reach out to manufacturers beyond California, specifically in Arizona, Nevada, and the Pacific Northwest, where common issues and concerns dictate the wisdom of partnership across state boundaries.
CFECA undertakes each of these tasks with a spirit of cooperation and excellence, always keeping in mind the needs and desires of its diverse membership.
GOALS:
COMMUNICATIONS: Priority will be given to direct and frequent communications with each member in order to gain understanding of and address the needs of our members and the industry at large.
EDUCATION: Make available to the membership information on new technology, products, processes and markets as well as current legislation and regulations and other factors which will improve their work environment.
ENVIRONMENTAL: Support our industry with information, education and representation for those matters which our industry has an effect on the environment such as air quality and solid waste.
LEGISLATIVE: Protect our members from potentially damaging legislation, public opinion shifts and other negative influences affecting the polyethylene film industry.
MEETINGS: Develop a meeting schedule that will enable members to function more efficiently in todays constantly changing and challenging business environment.
MEMBERSHIP: Increase membership to include every polyethylene film extruder, converter and printer doing business in the state of California and related vendors to the plastic industry.
PROGRAMS: Develop programs which will make membership in CFECA more valuable and attractive.
PUBLIC RELATIONS: Inform consumers and the legislature about the benefits of polyethylene film products.
