CAST FILM
Cloeren Incorporated has served the cast film market for more than 20 years.
Our cast film equipment is used worldwide to produce a myriad of products including stretch wrap; bread bags; special barrier films for meat, fish and poultry packaging; cheese packaging; healthcare and hygiene products.
Cloeren technology also plays an important role in cast polypropylene films for candy twist wrappers, vacuum metalizing base films and high clarity films for document protectors.
EXTRUSION COATING
Today, Cloeren offers the most extensive and innovative combination of feedblocks and dies for the extrusion coating and laminating industry, including the Edge Bead Reduction (EBR™) Deckle System, the single most significant advancement in this industry since computer-based profile control.
Cloeren systems help processors produce board coating for cup stock; milk cartons; drink boxes; detergent boxes; toothpaste tubes; flexible packaging for the snack food industry; and industrial woven and nonwoven products.
BIAXIALLY ORIENTED FILM
Biaxially oriented film production is one of the most demanding technologies for flat die extrusion.
Cloeren offers the most extensive combination of feedblock, single manifold and multi-manifold dies, affording the processor the greatest flexibility in exceeding these demands.
Biaxially oriented film is used mainly for flexible packaging such as potato chip bags and cigarette wrappers, as well as many consumer-packaging applications. Cloeren supplies dies for processing biaxially oriented polyamide, polyethylene terephthalate, polystyrene and polypropylene.
SHEET
Cloeren offers the most varied and innovative choices for sheet extrusion.
Cloeren's vast industry knowledge, plus our commitment to advancing die and feedblock technology, has led to significant breakthroughs in appliance, medical and pharmaceutical, automotive, aircraft, recreational, food packaging and a host of other markets.
Today, Cloeren equipment is producing very wide geomembrane sheet and very narrow sheet for laboratory applications, thin sheet for thermoformed packaging, as well as sheet over one inch thick for chemical-resistant applications. Our dies now dominate the vinyl siding market because they save material costs by allowing expensive UV cap layers to be applied more thinly and uniformly at higher outputs. Cloeren technology also allows appliance sheet manufacturers to produce thin, uniform multi-layer sheet.
Cloeren has developed dies that allow medical suppliers of blood bags to increase production rates and run times. A unique Cloeren technology extrudes filled polymers onto the back of carpet for automotive applications. And, we invented a way to coextrude the color band for tinted windshields, eliminating 30 days from the production cycle.
Cloeren sheet die systems are also used to manufacture shower and tub surrounds, spa tub liners, drinking cups, thermoformed food and consumer packaging, door panels and automotive parts, aircraft components and high-performance, high-barrier sheet.
WEB COATING
Cloeren designs and manufactures dies for specialty coating applications, including proximity coating, contact coating or curtain coating.
Cloeren dies are used in the production of pressure-sensitive and hot-melt adhesives, solvent, aqueous, emulsion, solution, slide and curtain coatings.
SPECIALTY
Cloeren designs and manufactures specialty dies for many unique applications including the extrusion of tobacco and food products such as potato chips and licorice.
Cloeren strand dies are used to produce resin pellets after the polymerization process, to repelletize in-line thermoforming scrap, edge trim and post-consumer scrap; and in the manufacturing of nonwoven fabrics.
