The Dust-Free Handling Solution


Increasing requirements for dust-free powder handling have led industrial users to look beyond conventional methods of powder transfer. Spiroflow flexible screw conveying systems are a proven alternative to such methods, providing a simple, yet effective solution to the transfer of powders and dry bulk solids.

Simple Operation
A Spiroflow conveyor's only moving part is its flexible spiral, directly driven by an electric motor and rotating within an outer tube. The design simplicity eliminates the need for filters and bearings, in addition to considerably reducing installation and running costs inherent in other conveying methods. With the resultant benefits of a system that's superior in performance, price and low maintenance.

Flexibility
Spiroflow conveyors can be installed over, under or around existing machinery and can convey in any direction. Small openings in walls can also be negotiated. Multiple intake and discharge units can be fitted, and conveyors can be linked together for material transfer over longer distances.

Dust-Free and Totally Sealed
The major benefit of a Spiroflow system is the absence of air as the conveying medium. This means there is no risk of atmospheric contamination of the materials being conveyed, either through airborne dust or humidity. The system is totally sealed, so there is no chance of escape into ambient atmosphere of dust or volatile and toxic vapors.

Consistent Feeding
Materials are fed into your process smoothly and consistently, and when Spiroflow conveyors are fitted with variable speed control, accurate metering can be achieved. A range of metering units is also available from Spiroflow for precision additive feeding.

Gentle Handling
The gentle mechanical action insures no separation occurs when a mixture of materials with varying bulk densities or particle sizes is being conveyed. The spiral is centralized within the outer tube and gently conveys without degrading the product.

Easy to Clean
Inherent simplicity of design makes cleaning a simple operation. The motor may be reversed to empty the conveyer of residual product, offer which it can be flushed with water or cleaning solution. If necessary, the spiral can be quickly removed from the tube, and optional quick release connectors permit rapid dismantling and reassembly to minimize downtime.

Low Maintenance
The robust inner spiral is the only moving port of a Spiroflow conveyor, to insure trouble-free operation. If technical assistance is required, full service bock-up is guaranteed.
