DLH Industries, Inc. can handle all of your extrusion / forming needs at a competitive price.
DLH Industries Inc. was founded in 1975 in a single room with one plastic injection press. The primary area of business during this time was the injection molding of consumer electronics components. During the early 1980's DLH Industries' business switched to the manufacture of automotive, under the hood application assemblies. During this time DLH also opened up a tooling and mold shop for both internal required tooling and direct sales of tooling to customers.
In 1984 DLH moved the corporate headquarters out of the original building to a new manufacturing facility. The additional area not only increased our manufacturing capabilities, but allowed for the expansion of the Engineering Department and the creation of a dedicated Research and Development Department. This allowed us to meet General Motors product testing requirements and allow for the development of future products and processes. During this year an additional plant was brought online dedicated for extrusion. This expansion essentially doubled the current extrusion capacity.
Even with the creation of additional manufacturing capabilities in the early 1980's, sales continued to grow at such a rate that additional space was required. Construction began in the Spring of 1986 for another manufacturing facility on 18 acres of DLH owned land in East Canton, Ohio. This plant, known as Plant 5, was designed to accommodate future expansions for assembly operations.
In 1997, DLH Industries, Inc. opened a new state of the art injection molding facility. The new injection facility utilized advanced robotics and automation to increase production output and raise the level of quality of molded parts.
Effective September 22, 2004, DLH Industries, Inc. has earned the distinction of receiving certification to the international Quality Management System standard ISO/TS-16949. This certification covers all DLH manufacturing facilities in Canton, East Canton and Carrollton, Ohio.
Required by the automotive industry as a replacement for the QS-9000 certification DLH earned in 1997, ISO/TS 16949:2000 defines the quality management system requirements for the design and development, production, installation and service of automotive-related products. ISO/TS 16949:2000 is based on, aligned with and includes ISO 9001:2000 to make uniform the supplier quality system requirements of the automakers of the United States, Germany, Italy, France, Japan, Korea and Malaysia.
