Gossen Corporation is a manufacturer of proprietary plastic and wood trim, accessory, and maintenance-free products for the home. Gossen has thrived in the modern era in which today's customer expects high-quality materials at affordable prices.
The business was established in 1928 when Martin Gossen invented the first spring-loaded window-sash balance, which eliminated the previous need for a counterbalancing weight for opening and closing a window.
Gossen began extruding Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) in the late 1960's because PVC seemed to present limitless possibilities for new profiles in the marketplace. Specifically, we developed a process for extrusion through the 'free expansion' of PVC in which the raw material expands when exposed to air.
Today, Gossen is one of the largest profile extrusion manufacturers in North America. Gossen has manufacturing facilities in Milwaukee, Wisconsin (headquarters) and Cartersville, Georgia.
