A few drama-filled examples...

Case History #1 A major U.S. truck manufacturer asked usto develop an extrusion to prevent weld spatter from entering the steering gear housing. Production at the company's assembly plant in California hadbeen seriously impaired when the spatter prevented the steering gear box from being installed. Within two weeks, we had designed the part, made the tooling and supplied working samples. Today, need we add, these parts areused on every truck.

Case History #2 A new entrant into the large, commercial overhead door market was experiencing problems with its internally designed seals. Hunsinger and the door panel manufacturer, Romarc Inc. of Plumsteadville,PA, were assigned the task of designing new parts. Together we developed co-extrusions, made from polypropylene and Monsanto's Santoprene® elastomer. The co-extrusions are now used on the tops and bottoms of each door panel, including all garage doors used at the loading docks of all new Walmart and Sam's Club stores.

Case History #3 An entrepreneur approached us with the design for a beach game he had devised. The design envisioned a game made from extrusions plus injection molded end caps. Unfortunately, the tooling for the molded end caps alone would have cost more than all other start-upcosts combined. We redesigned the extrusion profile and developed a punch that completely eliminated the molded parts.
