Coating selection:
Tungsten carbide HVOF
Tungsten carbide coatings are incredibly hard, tough and resistant to abrasive wear. Tungsten carbide will withstand pressure, and large abrasive particles. Tungsten carbide coatings are generally recommended for service temperatures up to 500 C. Hardness 1150 DPH300
Chrome carbide HVOF
Chrome carbide coatings are recommended for temperatures from 540 C up to 815 C. Chrome Carbide coatings are hard, resistant to high temperature abrasive wear and hot corrosion. Hardness 1000 DPH300
Ceramic Chrome Oxideâ
This is the most chemically inert and wear resistant of all the oxides. Hard, resistant to corrosion, abrasion in service temperatures up to 540 C. Especially used in seal and packing areas on pump pistons, sleeves, and shafts. Can be ground and polished to a smooth surface. Hardness 1900 DPH300
Stellite, Nanosteel, and Colmonoy Weld Overlay
âSuperalloyâ is the technical term for fantastic materials that have high temperature hardness, resistant to hot corrosion, and low coefficient of Friction. Stellite is welded using fully automatic welding system, Plasma Welding on Valves, Gates, Wear rings, and other components. Stellite are available in hardness from HRc 21 to HRc 55
